FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation)

As of July 21, 2010, the FDIC standard insurance amount is permanently increased to $250,000 per depositor, per insured depository institution for each account ownership category.

Regulation GG: Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) of 2006

The UIGEA, signed into law in 2006, prohibits any person engaged in the business of betting or wagering (as defined in the Act) from knowingly accepting payments in connection with the participation of another person in unlawful internet gambling. The Department of Treasury and the Federal Reserve Board have issued a joint final rule, Regulation GG, to implement this Act. As defined in Regulation GG, unlawful internet gambling means to a place, receive or otherwise knowingly transmit a bet or wager by any means which involves the use, at least in part, of the internet where such bet or wager is unlawful under any applicable Federal or State law in the State or Tribal lands in which the bet or wager is initiated, received or otherwise made. As a customer of Spring Bank, these restricted transactions are prohibited from being processed through your account or banking relationship with us. If you do engage in an internet gambling business and open a new account with us, we will ask that you provide evidence of your legal capacity to do so.

At Spring Bank we want to ensure that you (the customer) are satisfied with our services and products. If we have failed to meet your expectations, we welcome the opportunity to hear your opinion on the matter, giving us an opportunity to learn more about our customer’s needs, or to hear about your problem, so that we can resolve it. Whistle-blower Policy

Spring Bank wants customers, vendors and employees to know that it takes seriously its responsibilities to comply with all laws and regulations and to exhibit at all times ethical behavior. Should anyone have a reasonable belief that the bank or an individual is engaging in activity that would constitute Illegality, fraud, unfair or unethical conduct, mismanagement, abuse of power, unfair, deceptive or abusive acts, or other wrongful conduct, including but not limited to, any conduct that may affect the safety, soundness or reputation of the bank, they can report that confidentially to the Audit Committee Directors at [email protected]

Programs or Activities Receiving Federal Financial Assistance

In addition to the protections of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color or national origin in programs or activities receiving Federal financial assistance. Employment discrimination is covered by Title VI if the primary objective of the financial assistance is provision of employment, or where employment discrimination causes or may cause discrimination in providing services under such programs. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs or activities which receive Federal financial assistance. Individuals with Disabilities Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of disability in any program or activity which receives Federal financial assistance. Discrimination is prohibited in all aspects of employment against persons with disabilities who, with or without reasonable accommodation, can perform the essential functions of the job.
